I’m going to read about getting back on my feet as a single mom: how I left New York City with my two-year-old to move back to northern California. Or, I should say: we moved in with my Dad in San Francisco for a few months while I got my bearings. Eventually, I got a job and my own apartment — and a couple of single mom friends (thank goodness).
Hyla Molander will read about scattering the ashes of her late husband, Erik. (They got married on March 17.) Her new husband will be in the audience, listening.

That’s a silly publicity shot that was taken for a book release story — those two guys were married and, yes, that baby peed on me.
